My cat had no problem adapting. My 2 50# dogs seriously questioned it for 4 days. But now they like the clean water. No longer knocking over their bowls when they demand “clean water” or a “cleaner bowl. (no hair in it). I love the light, I can see when it needs to be filled. The pump is cordless and can be taken apart to be cleaned when needed.
My only complaints:
1. the monthly filters are always sold out and I have email all the suppliers asking when they will be restocked.
2. The sponge filters should be replaced every week not biweekly. I buy extra.
